CALL FOR ALBAYZIN EVALUATION PROPOSALS (closed)

Following the success of previous “ALBAYZIN” technology evaluations in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012, we invite prospective ALBAYZIN 2014 evaluation organizers to send their evaluation proposals before April 25th, 2014 to the organizers.

All the viable proposals received will be considered in a subsequent survey among potential participants and four or five evaluations will be selected by the organizers according to the number of potential participants and the variety of topics.

At this point the evaluations do not need to be fully prepared, and some funding can be allocated for tasks such as data preparation for the evaluation. The proposals should specify the status of the data to be used in the evaluation.

The official results of the evaluation will be presented at the next Joint VIII “Jornadas en Tecnología del Habla” and IV Iberian SLTech Workshop to be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on 19-21 November 2014.

An approximate calendar for evaluations (adjustable for particular evaluations) is:

• June 2014: Open the evaluation registration

• Mid July 2014: Release of the training and development data

• July 2014: Registration deadline

• Beginning of September 2014: Release of the evaluation data

• End of September 2014: Deadline for submission of results and system descriptions

• Mid October 2014: Results distributed to teams

• 19-21 November 2012: Official public presentation of results
